Do Affirmations Really Work?

Question of the day: do affirmations really work??

Of course they can. Now there are different ways to say affirmations and I want to share how sometimes it might feel like affirmations may not be working for you.

Affirmations will work when you are open to the energy that comes with them. However if there is something in your body, a belief, emotion, feeling, experience that feels heavy in your body as a Reaction to that affirmation it means there is something in your body that does not allow you to fully agree with that statement. Let’s take the affirmation: I am abundant. Even if you say it out loud, a hundred times a day if there is a little voice that speaks to you and says, “abundant? You’re not abundant, you’re living paycheck to paycheck that’s not abundance.” Or “you just lost your job how can you be abundant?” This little voice inside is here to make you aware that you are still holding on to lies. The lie that you’re not abundant, can’t be abundant, don’t deserve to be abundant, etc.

Take this as as a great thing. Now you know that there is a block to this truth and now you can release it. Feel it in your body and ask it “what’s the best way to release this energy from my body?” Allow yourself to use your breath as one of the ways in which you can release it. Breathe in golden light into that part of the body and feel it release, let it go until you feel weightless.

Until you do this you may find that saying affirmations might take a awhile to truly become engraved in your beliefs depending on how much contrary energy you hold inside towards that particular affirmation. Obviously everyone is different so just because someone has a great result With an affirmation without having to release anything it doesn’t mean you will have the same experience. Just stay open about needing to release all that you need to in order to truly embody the affirmation.
