During this journey most of us at some point will go through the grieving phase. Now I’m not talking about the grieving where someone in your physical reality ceases to exist in the physical realm, nope, I’m talking about another kind of grieving. I’m referring to grieving anything and everything that was part of the old earth, old illusion, old reality. You see most of us have lived years, decades, centuries in the old world trying to break free and now that we are finally breaking free there is a grieving phase. We have lived in the old ways for longer than we can remember and it basically became our identity, our comfort zone and our home.
Every single person in this planet is going through a level of grieving especially since the whole world is changing so fast. Our old ways, old life styles, old careers, old beliefs are all morphing and changing before our very eyes and there is definitely some grieving involved. I won’t sugar coat it, it can get intense but the more you honor it the easier it will become. Every person has already chosen that pivotal experience that will break them down so they can release all emotions that come with the grieving phase and we must honor that too. Remember that even when you may think that your experience is not big enough or tough enough don’t suppress your emotions. Just because you choose to honor your emotions doesn’t make you ungrateful for all the blessings that you have, just because you choose to honor your emotions doesn’t make you less of a Soul or less of a human but instead makes you more commendable because you have chosen to break free from what has been the norm for thousands of years.
Feel your emotions, feel the anger, the hatred, the sadness, the grief, the shame, the guilt and every single emotion that pops up. Don’t disregard any of them because they are simply that, emotions, some of them are heavy, some of them are lighter but none of them are negative and none of them make you a bad person. Let that old belief system go right now, you don’t need it anymore and you don’t need to call forward an experience that is harsher just so that you can feel like you have a good enough reason to cry or get angry. Of course, everyone will choose their own harsh experience according to their own scale but I’m telling you go ALL in on your emotions even at a drop of a hat because then you won’t need a harsher experience to break you down.
I’ve gone through the grieving phase myself before and I’m going through it again. I realized it isn’t a one-time thing but I know it will become easier and easier the more you allow it. It’s been challenging to say the least going through this phase at my parent’s house but I will say that it’s allowed me to get creative with it. I’ve realized that most humans including my parents have been taught that when someone is crying there is something wrong and something must be done to make them stop. Crying has been misinterpreted, misunderstood, mislabeled and judged for way too long! I’m here to remind you that crying is safe and necessary to release all the heaviness inside, just don’t stay there for years, connect back to who you are, take a nervous system support (schisandra is my favorite right now) and remember to expand back out. If it helps this is how I’ve been doing it; I get in the restroom, get in the shower and let it all out. I let the water assist me in the process of clearing and cleansing all the heaviness, I use Epson salt to scrub my body to help me relax and release and it’s been so amazing. I’ve also realized that the most effective way to let all my emotions out is by not crying silently, I use my voice to let all the heaviness out and it’s been such a huge release system for me (I use a towel when I need to be vocal).
Maybe for you is going out for a walk, running or moving your body, singing or yelling, it truly doesn’t matter, this is about discovering what works for you in that moment and doing it. It will change as you go and it’s all part of the process too.
If you’re going through this phase, you’re definitely NOT the only one trust me. Most people may not admit it but when you are honest with yourself and allow all the baggage that comes with that emotion and/or belief you are closer to finally becoming freer than you’ve ever been.
Remember that when something ceases to exist in the form that we are used to it only means that you are creating more space for something new to arrive. Every change, every shift, every death cycle is an opportunity to give birth to something new. We are all in the process of re-birthing ourselves, re-incarnating into a new ascended human. We have been calling forth this change and we are probably more ready than what we give ourselves credit for. This is another big reason why honoring the grieving phase is important so that you can let everything go that kept you stuck in the old ways. If you don’t grief the old, you will continue to get stuck in the past and then you won’t have enough room to welcome the new. Beautiful, wonderful and magical things are at our fingertips and on our door step so allow yourself to open fully, let go of everything that is heavy and allow for a whole new reality to show up in your world.
If you need any support during this phase, reach out. Remember we are in this together and I’ll be happy to support in any way that I can.
Sending much peace your way!
